The Psychotherapy for All Fund

The Psychotherapy for All Fund is Therapists of New York’s low-fee therapy program that provides high-quality psychotherapy and psychological assessment services to people who are uninsured, underinsured, and who are living with a low income in New York State. This program has a specific aim of improving access to mental healthcare for individuals identifying as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color and/or Queer underserved populations, and individuals who identify as part of marginalized groups. We aim to reduce barriers to obtaining therapeutic services by providing culturally-sensitive care in a comfortable and inclusive setting regardless of ability to pay. We offer both in-person and virtual services. Depending on need and therapist availability, clients may receive between seven to twelve months of weekly talk therapy.

Speciality Areas:
Currently, in addition to our generalist services, available therapists have special training in working with couples, trauma, personality disorders, perinatal care, individuals with LGBTQIA+ identities and leading psychotherapy groups.

Who is eligible for The Psychotherapy for All Fund?
You are eligible for The Psychotherapy for All Fund if you are uninsured or do not have affordable mental health coverage through your health insurance.

The program was created to support people who identify with marginalized groups, including people of color, ethnic and cultural minorities, queer individuals, and people living in poverty.

Do you offer low-fee psychiatric care?
No. The Psychotherapy for All Fund offers talk therapy only. Clients who require a higher level of care are not appropriate for this setting.
