Experiencing pain is an inevitable part of our lives. Sometimes, we may find it challenging to understand and cope with these feelings. We may try to resist or become overwhelmed by our distress, leading to a sense of disconnection from ourselves, others, and our values. In the face of emotional struggles, difficult events, or life transitions, you may find yourself seeking therapy to help you gain insight into your experience and develop better coping strategies. Starting this therapeutic process can bring about a mix of emotions, ranging from hope and excitement to feelings of unease and ambivalence. However you may come, I will welcome you into a warm and supportive space where we can venture towards self-discovery, healing, and a renewed engagement with what matters to you.

Compassion and curiosity are the guiding forces in my therapeutic approach. With a deep sense of empathy, I strive to create a nurturing and non-judgmental environment that encourages you to express yourself freely and take risks. By fostering a spirit of curiosity, I aim to collaboratively explore the unique experiences and perspectives that have shaped your narrative, challenging long-held assumptions and promoting growth.

I bring my genuine self into my practice, engaging actively, using humor, and embracing the messy and the uncertain. My therapeutic style is integrative, incorporating psychodynamic and evidence-based practices, while drawing from humanistic and attachment-based approaches. It is important to me to work with you to tailor the therapy to your individual needs and preferences and to maintain flexibility, adapting the therapeutic approach as necessary to best support your progress.

Training

I earned my M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. My research explores how attachment styles and relational patterns relate to infidelity. I have held clinical positions at Pace University’s Counseling Center, Rockland Psychiatric Center, and the Parnes Clinic. I have experience working with emerging adults and adults struggling with relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, trauma histories, and mood-related disorders.
