My work centers on engaging with the experiences and patterns that shape a person’s life. In psychotherapy, that can mean making sense of what’s happening in your life, or staying present in confusion, pain, or uncertainty until something new begins to take shape. Together, we look at where these patterns come from and how they keep you stuck, working to understand them fully so you can move with more clarity and flexibility. Along the way, we explore your memories, fears, and hopes, letting them guide us toward what matters most now.
I draw on training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and compassion-focused therapy (CFT). I work with patients navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, sex, sexuality, gender, relationship struggles, self-harm, and career or school challenges, as well as those wanting to explore their inner world and challenge themselves to grow.
I lead assessment services at the Therapists of New York Midtown office, conducting and supervising psychological assessments for adults, adolescents, and children. These assessments offer a structured way to pause and look closely at how someone thinks, feels, and makes meaning. They can clarify questions about learning, attention, identity, or emotional life, and provide a mirror for self-understanding, a way to see one’s own mind with greater depth and compassion. We also offer a brief, collaborative process focused on personality and emotional life, helping people understand how they experience, express, and work with their feelings and relationships.
