I believe therapy is a hopeful project. Many people seek therapy because they feel stuck. Yet, they carry a quiet, persistent part that believes in change. Painful experiences from the past, challenges in relationships or at work, and complexities of modern life can make it difficult to feel at home in our lives. With curiosity and compassion, I work to help people deepen their understanding of themselves and reconnect with what gives their lives meaning.
My approach to therapy is warm, creative, and relational. I integrate trauma-informed and psychodynamic perspectives with evidence-based skills to help you explore and move beyond patterns that may no longer serve you. In my work with couples and people in other relationship structures, I help you understand the patterns that shape your interactions, navigate places where your needs and vulnerabilities may collide, and discover new ways of relating that can forge a path toward healing and deeper connection. Above all, I strive to create a safe and collaborative therapeutic relationship in which you can explore how your life experiences have shaped your sense of self and ways of being in the world. My hope is that the insight, vulnerability, and connection experienced in therapy will help you feel more grounded in your agency, desire, and joy.
I've worked with people from many walks of life navigating a range of experiences, including grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, and attachment-related challenges. In therapy, I value exploring how one’s sociocultural identities and internalized cultural norms may shape these experiences. I especially enjoy working with trans and queer people of color and helping them feel more affirmed and liberated in who they are.
