Elinor Bock, Ph.D.

I am the Founder and Director of Therapists of New York, one of the largest group practices in New York. Therapists of New York is set apart from other group practices by our focus on selectively matching patients with exclusively doctoral level psychologists. As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, I specialize in supervising and training psychologists who work in private practice, as well as providing therapy to adolescents, adults, and couples. My therapeutic approach blends psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to create a tailored experience for each individual.

Aleksandra Rayska, Ph.D.

My approach to psychotherapy is rooted in my training as a dance/movement therapist and my deep awareness of the connection between the mind and the body. This offers another way for you to understand how past experiences, tough situations, and stress impact your life. Our bodies are always with us, and it's no surprise that our emotions, thoughts, and worries are expressed through them. It could be a shaking leg before speaking in public, a tight stomach when meeting someone important, or a memory that you feel in your body.

Lauren O’Connor, Ph.D.

I approach psychotherapy as a collaborative journey toward deeper understanding and meaning. I emphasize building an authentic relationship in which we can wonder together and explore who you are, what hurts, and what you truly want. Through this honest exchange, I aim to help you approach difficult truths, tap into unspoken desires, and move toward more genuine and meaningful ways of being with yourself and others. My approach is warm and interactive, and I value the importance of humor and creativity in the therapeutic process.

Geoffrey Gold, Ph.D.

My training includes cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), compassion-focused therapy (CFT), and psychodynamic psychotherapy (click here for details). Therapy can include targeted change, rapid symptom relief, mindfulness and self-compassion skills, and deep personal exploration and growth. My goals go beyond symptom reduction to help clients cultivate richness, intimacy, and meaning in their lives. My clients learn to lead their lives with greater intention and vitality.
